The original space was one large room. To break up the corridor feel we decided to bring the hood wall into the room which gave us the chance to have a more formal entry way from the annex and garage and created a walk-in pantry behind the stove.
The East wall is floor to ceiling windows so the working area is set to the left of the range and the island.
