To achieve the brief presented for the kitchen to be part of the family room whilst keepiing the room light and grounded, open shelves, thick marble countertops, furniture elements and two counter cabinets were the foundation of the design.

Several different materials were used to compliment the custom painted cabinets. Beams, columns and flooring were walnut, the sink draining boards and overhead plate rack were oil-finished teak, and the refrigerator housing was of verigated mahagony with custom pigmented stain and glazed and divided lites hold antique finish mirrors. Hood surround was clad in clean cut limestone with marble backsplash slab.
A summer home tucked amongst wide stretches of sandy beaches ....
